The wind came back earlier than promised and we’ve had a good day’s sailing in lots of sunshine, so the batteries are happy too. The only unhappy traveler on the boat is the fridge, which is working very hard in the tropical warmth.

Merel is industriously knitting away at a pair of socks. The heel didn’t work first time so she pulled it apart and did it all again. These socks are gonna set next year’s Brazilian beach fashions on their ear.

While she knitted I played videos and music, cooked breakfast, tried to catch a fish (failed again) and I so made pizza for dinner. She just pointed out to me, with pride in her voice, that she’s not moved from her seat all day.
