There has been a lot of wind and the anchorage is open to the north, east and west, and not very comfortable. Steve, the harbour master, says it’s the most wind they’ve had so far this year. The anchorage is in the lee of the island but the wind veers around and blows from every direction but Southeast. On the island one is hardly aware of it.

Merel has gone camping for Easter, I’m on the boat, and we’ve given up trying to set a date for leaving St Helena. Several new boats have arrived with more on the way from Cape Town, some of whom we know.
