On Top of Mt Rugby
It is several hours of really hard work getting to the top of Mt Rugby, but on a day like this it is worth it.

A Hard Climb to the Top
Mt Rugby is not for the faint-hearted
Clayton's Corner hosts the VDL (Van Diemen's Land) Rally
We had a bit of weather going home with over 40 knots at times.
Panorama from Mt Beattie
This guy did not like being photographed and went for me just after I took this shot. I landed on my arse but the camera was just fine thank you.
Weather over Bathurst Harbour
Fresh water is easily gathered from the waterfall, which is rigged with a bucket, hose and even mooring lines!
A Bit of Weather
Lesley loves a bit of weather, which we had on the way back.
River Rocks and Trees
Rocks and River
Rotated 90 degrees.
River of Red
This is the Davey River shallows in direct sun and it shows why the reflections are so perfect. The water is red from the button grass, which turns black when seen from an angle and thus forms a perfect backdrop for a mirror.
I had to include just one 'ordinary' photo.
Tree and River Bank
OK, so it's rotated 90 degrees, but after a while this is how it really starts to seem.
Having Fun in the Dinghy
Do you think she is happy?
Lower Reaches of Davey River
Davey River Reeds
Davey River Mind Bend
It's just rocks and water but it is hard to keep your bearings.
Davey River Regrowth
I think this is regrowth after a fire
There is a lot of what looks like regrowth after bushfires
Brush lines the lower reaches of Davey River
Port Davey Reflection
Even ordinary scenes become magical.
Davey River Reflections
The perfect reflections in the water are disorienting.
After saying nope to ourselves for several days, we climbed it.
Spain Bay Rocks
White rocks at Spain Bay where we spent the first night in Port Davey.
She left a big impression on whoever named this rock.

Pre-Dawn Light over Recherche Bay
Dawn broke as we left Recherche Bay for Port Davey.
Looking out across Bathurst Harbour inside Port Davey
On the way there we spent the first night at Barnes Bay, off Bruny Island.
Sunset at Clayton's Corner
The original name was 'Sudden Impulse', but buying it was anything but.
