Dead Leatherjacket. Millions of dead and dying fish, mostly Leatherjackets, along the coast from Tasmania through Bass Strait. The die-off is supposedly caused by tropical fish following the East Australian Current south and freezing to death in cold water from upwellings in eastern Bass Strait.
